Top 3 Live Games on Online Casino Platforms – Daily Business

The modern iGaming industry is packed with ways for gamers to place their stakes, with one of the most interesting methods being live casino games. For example, Boylesports live casino games present a unique gaming experience, often hosted by a live dealer, allowing players to interact in real time.

These casino games can come in a variety of ways, with some offering a live game show gaming experience, while others inject a live twist to iconic casino table games such as blackjack.

Live Blackjack

Regular blackjack has a storied history, dating back to the 1700s. Since its creation, the card game has undergone a whirlwind of changes, most recently implementing a live casino game variant to the already popular card game. Live blackjack can be played on a variety of online casino platforms, with some platforms offering unique variations to this long-standing card game.

Live blackjack mostly follows the same rules as those blackjack games played in regular casinos. For those who don’t already know, in blackjack, players aim to beat the dealer by getting a hand higher than theirs, without exceeding 21. Exceeding 21 will result in an instant loss for either player or dealer. Cards are dealt in blackjack, with numbers 2 to 9 having face value, 10, Jack, Queen, and King having a value of 10, and the Ace having a value of either 1 or 11.

To play live blackjack, players are dealt two cards, with the dealer having two cards also. One of the dealer’s cards will be placed face up, giving players a decision to make whether to stand or take a hit based on the judgment of the dealer’s face-up card. To “stand” means the player will keep their current hand; to “hit” means the player will take another card in the hope of improving their held value. In common blackjack and live blackjack games, if the dealer’s hand results in 17 or more, they are forced to stand, and if the total is 16 or below, they are forced to take an additional card.

Some live blackjack games have additional options that can potentially enhance the gameplay. One such option is Double Down, allowing players to double their initial stake in exchange for one additional card. This feature is only available after the first two cards are dealt. Another is the Split option, where players can split a pair of cards to play two separate hands, doubling the stake. On some live blackjack games, players can select the insurance option, a side bet that a dealer will land a blackjack after the face-up card is an Ace. Lastly, there’s the Surrender option, where a player can forfeit their hand for a percentage of the stake to be returned.

Live Roulette

Roulette is yet again a storied casino game with roots to the 17th century. The game that set the foundations for the roulette we see today was very primitive and has had monumental evolution, including the recent live casino addition. Like blackjack, live roulette can be played on a variety of online casinos with different live roulette games offering their own unique features and mechanics.

The European roulette wheel contains numbers 1-36 coloured red or black, with one 0 pocket coloured green. The American roulette wheel is similar, but has two green pockets labelled 0 and 00 in play. The game is simple; the wheel will be spun, with a roulette ball being spun in the opposite direction. Once the ball loses its momentum, it will land in a numbered pocket. Gamers can place stakes on the number they believe the ball will land in, with the option to bet on the category of the pocket. Common categories can include odd/even, red/green, 1-18/19-36, dozens, and columns.

There are many live roulette games on online casino platforms, with most games operating with similar, if not identical, rules. Live roulette operates in a similar way to regular roulette, with the outcome of each game coming from an actual spin of the wheel. Other online casino roulette methods, such as digital roulette, are different as the outcomes rely on a Random Number Generator.

Crazy Time

Unlike the previous two live games, Crazy Time is not a classic casino game. Instead, Crazy Time was released in 2020 as an online game show title that includes a 54-segment colourful wheel that a live dealer will spin. Crazy Time was developed by notable live game show provider Evolution Gaming, which has released plenty of wheel-based live casino games in its time in the iGaming industry.

As mentioned, the gameplay in Crazy Time will commence on a 54-segment wheel that will be spun to determine the outcome of a spin. Once the wheel loses its momentum, an indicator at the top of the wheel will point to the segment that is awarded. These segments that can be landed on the wheel are grouped into 8 unique categories, 4 of which can trigger a multiplier of the stake in 1x, 2x, 5x, and 10x. The other 4 categories that make up the wheel can provide access to 4 fun bonus features, including the Coin Flip, Pachinko, Cash Hunt, and Crazy Time bonus.
