A projection of an elephant on Hampden Park stadium sparked rumours that Take That were about to bring their Circus Tour back to Glasgow. Now the trio have confirmed that they will be performing at the venue next summer.

The Circus Tour in 2009 was their biggest and was attended by over a million fans across the country and their return on 12 June will add to the city’s carnival atmosphere as it also hosts the Commonwealth Games.

The pop icons, one of the top boy bands of the 1990s, are now in their 50s but have stayed at the top of their game and can expect the concert at Hampden Park to be another sell-out.

Announcing the show on social media, the band declared: “We’re so excited to be bringing back The Circus Live in 2026!

“Next summer, in stadiums across the UK & Ireland, we’ll celebrate people, music, and the wonder of human creativity. We can’t wait to take you back to that magical place – the same iconic set awaits, along with some new surprises…”

Tickets go on general sale at 9:30am Friday 26 September. Pre-sale access is available by pre-ordering the band’s 10th studio album arriving later next year from the official UK store before 5pm, Tuesday 23 September.

“2026 is going to be a special year in many ways – we can’t wait to have you there with us,” said the band’s post.
