Forrit helps digital transformation of GP services – Daily Business

Forrit is providing solutions to the healthcare sector

Technology firm Forrit has secured a partner deal with NHS Scotland that is helping to speed up the delivery of services for GP practices across the country.

Its content management system is being applied to NHS 24, one of Scotland’s seven special health boards, responsible for the provision of digital health and care services.

Forrit aims to improve the operation of websites for 132 GP surgeries across Scotland, which have faced several challenges around website security, availability, performance, and the sharing of national medical advisory content.

The successful migration of the websites to the Forrit system marks a significant digital step for NHS 24.

Early results have been impressive with enhanced security, quicker performance, and more dependable access to vital digital services.

Peter Proud: important initiative

These improvements have reduced unnecessary pressure on GP practices and A&E departments.

Peter Proud, founder and CEO of Forrit, said: “We’re incredibly proud to be working with NHS 24 on such an important initiative which underscores the growing importance of secure, scalable, and user-centric digital platforms in today’s evolving healthcare landscape.

“Their web estate is critical to providing patients with access to essential services, and it’s an honour to help modernise and secure this infrastructure.

“The partnership sets a new standard for Scotland’s digital healthcare services and beyond.”
