A Scottish digital transformation company has completed one of its most prestigious contracts by installing 4G technology at the former American Embassy building in London.
Kirkintilloch-based Exchange Communications was called in to do the work in what is now the five-star The Chancery Rosewood Hotel in the heart of Mayfair’s conservation area.
The 30 Grosvenor Square development honours the heritage of the Grade II listed embassy building, with the original external façade retained and now providing 139 rooms, a 1,000 person ballroom and the largest hotel spa in London.
The new technology will provide faster and stronger connectivity, as well as providing a path to a 5G network in the future.
Tom Sime, CEO of Exchange Communications, said: “The new installation will make a huge difference to efficiency for guests of the hotel, but also the staff managing its operations.
“As ever, there were challenges with a complicated project like this, such as working around the ongoing construction happening in the building.”
