Highlands timber company Russwood has acquired SiooX, a Swedish wood protection technology business.
Russwood, based in Newtonmore, specialises in cladding, decking, flooring, and fixing solutions.
The move combines SiooX’s expertise in patented silicate-based wood protection technology with Russwood’s technical expertise and product development capabilities to better support architects, specifiers, and builders across the UK.
Michael Russell, joint managing director of Russwood, said: “We have collaborated with SiooX for many years and have seen first-hand the strength and potential of their technology.
“The unique combination of sustainability, aesthetics, and long-term protection makes SiooX stand out in the market.
“This acquisition is therefore a natural step forward for us, and we look forward to working with the new management team to further develop both the products and the markets.”
