Consumer brands veteran takes Walker’s chair – Daily Business

Honoured: Justin Stead

Walker’s Shortbread has appointed consumer brands veteran Justin Stead to chair the company, succeeding Bob Brannan.

Mr Stead, who will assume the role on 22 October, is currently chair of several global businesses, including Le Col and Baby Mori.

He has held pivotal roles as CEO of Radley London and the Watches of Switzerland Group, where he quadrupled profits and successfully led the business through one of the most challenging economic periods in recent history.

Beyond his business roles his is the founder of the Aurelius Foundation, a community interest organisation dedicated to promoting the principles of Stoic philosophy.

Nicky Walker, managing director of Walker’s Shortbread, said there had been an extensive recruitment process.

“Justin brings a wealth of experience and leadership to the role, having built an impressive career across global brands. His strategic insight and commitment to excellence will be invaluable as we continue to grow and evolve as a business.”
