Rangers have hired former Sheffield Wednesday manager Danny Rohl as head coach, just days after the German withdrew his candidacy for the Ibrox hot seat.
Rohl, 36, who had been an early contender, will replace Russell Martin who was sacked on 5 October after just 17 games, making his tenure the shortest for a permanent manager at the club.
The board turned to Rohl after ex-Ibrox defender Kevin Muscat failed to agree terms and chose to remain with Shanghai Port.
Rohl, who has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal with Rangers, was in charge of Sheffield Wednesday between October 2023 and July 2025 following coaching roles with RB Leipzig, Southampton, Bayern Munich and Germany.
