Simon Capaldi: excited by new role

Property consultancy Knight Frank has appointed Simon Capaldi as head of its Glasgow office agency team.

Mr Capaldi has been with the consultancy in Edinburgh since 2013, becoming a partner four years later. He previously held roles at GVA, Spiers Gumley, and Birch McCulloch and has advised clients in the US and across Europe.

In his new role he will have a particular focus on landlord lettings strategies and will continue to provide support for occupiers across Scotland’s central belt.

He said: “I’m very excited about my new role – the Glasgow market is vast and there is a lot of activity, despite the challenges of recent years. In many ways it is similar to Edinburgh – specifically a lack of high quality, Grade A supply and occupier demand for micro-locations – but the key difference is the large amount of refurbished space in Glasgow and the opportunity it presents.”

John Rae, head of office at Knight Frank Glasgow, added: “Simon has been with Knight Frank for well over a decade and is one of the central belt’s best-known office agents.

“He brings invaluable experience to the Glasgow office and we’re looking forward to seeing the impact he will make with his new role focused on the city, helping to grow the team in the months and years ahead.”
