Bank of England Governor Andrew Bailey will deliver a keynote address at Scotland’s showcase Global Investment Summit in Edinburgh next month.
The event on 6 & 7 October, co-hosted by Scottish Financial Enterprise and the Lord Mayor of London, is seen as an opportunity to enhance Scotland as a world class destination for investors across a range of industries.
Mr Bailey’s remarks will kick off the event, which has drawn a blue chip list of guests from the financial sector as well as senior ministers from the Scottish and UK governments.
Sandy Begbie, CEO of SFE, said the summit “is shaping up to be a unique opportunity for Scotland’s economy.
“The investment summit will provide an ideal launch pad to enhance the nation’s reputation further, showcasing Scotland as a world-class investment destination while bringing global investors face-to-face with industry leaders, Scottish firms and policymakers.”
The Lord Mayor of London, Alastair King , said: “Scotland has a rich history of innovation and global leadership. It has shaped the global financial system, providing significant advances in life sciences and renewable technology – and our goal is to make sure international investors are now aware of our future opportunities too.”
