Law firm Freeths has appointed Jane Dickers as partner in its Glasgow office, joining the firm’s national commercial dispute resolution team from Davidson Chalmers Stewart.
She is well-versed in managing cases in the Court of Session and in Sheriff Courts and has significant experience working at board level as a communications adviser and risk management consultant to real estate, construction and financial services organisations.
Matheson Lawson has added experienced solicitor Donna Carson as director to spearhead its new commercial property department, a move that the founders say came earlier than anticipated due to client need and active requests.
The firm, established earlier this year by Maureen Matheson and Victoria Lawson, was launched with a focus on private client services and residential conveyancing. The expansion into commercial property represents the first significant step into complementary new specialisms.
