The Las Vegas Sphere has only been open since 2023, but it has already become one of the most high-profile live music venues in the world.
Sphere was designed for big, dramatic music productions.
Known for its towering 366-foot spherical structure, 64,000 LED panels, and 160,000 square feet of interior screens, the Sphere has attracted legendary acts with its immersive mix of music and visuals.
U2 launched the venue in September 2023 with a 40-show run that ended in March 2024. The Eagles, Dead & Company, and Phish quickly followed, drawing audiences from around the globe.
Even the Backstreet Boys and country star Kenny Chesney have booked multiple dates, proving the venue’s reach goes far beyond classic rock.

Illenium adds more Sphere shows in spring 2026
Now, global electronic dance music artist Illenium (Nick Miller) is joining that lineup with an extended residency of his own.
“You guys absolutely tore that presale up and I’m so grateful to say we are adding another weekend,” Illenium said. “Absolutely blown away by the support.”
Illenium’s Sphere residency, announced in mid September, was set for six shows. But due to overwhelming demand, three more dates have been added for spring 2026, bringing his total Sphere commitment to nine performances.

Unlike most Sphere headliners, Illenium is not a traditional vocalist or band frontman. Instead, he is a DJ and producer who mixes music live, often accompanied by guest vocalists and elaborate visual displays.
His performances are designed as immersive experiences — think drones, lasers, fireworks — something that aligns closely with the Sphere’s technology-driven format.
Illenium has released five albums, including his latest “Odyssey,” which is also the name of his Sphere production.

Over the years, the Grammy-nominated artist has collaborated with musicians across pop and electronic music, including The Chainsmokers, Avril Lavigne, OneRepublic, and Teddy Swims.

Illenium is a fiery live performer
Sphere could be the latest addition to Illenium’s sell-out crowds in massive venues.
He sold out Madison Square Garden in 2019, was the first artist to headline Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium when it opened in 2020, and packed San Francisco’s Chase Center in 2023. He has also sold out Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheater five times.
For fans, Illenium’s Sphere residency marks yet another milestone and an opportunity to see electronic music showcased at one of the world’s most advanced live music venues.
